Latest Update on 2020 Season

Douglas Youth Baseball and Softball Association
Douglas Baseball and Softball Families

Phase 2 has begun and we can begin to play baseball and softball with certain guidelines. Those guidelines can be viewed on this website:

As coaches, volunteers, and parents we will do our best to follow these guidelines to ensure a healthy playing environment for our players and their families.

To accomplish this, we have added wash stations to Martin Road and Soldiers Field, so that hand washing can occur before and after a practice. Hand Sanitizer will be available in every dug out by the end of the week. Outdoor restrooms will also be available at both fields, that will be serviced weekly.

What will our season look like? In short, it will be different, but we will still be playing baseball and softball. Baseball Babe Ruth, Minors and Majors Divisions will be able to begin practice this week. AA Division will begin practice the week of June 15. T Ball will begin practice when Phase 3 is approved.

While in Phase 2, practice will be held at a minimum of once per week, with the option for more days based upon your Coach. Once we enter Phase 3, we will be able to have games. A typical Spring Baseball and Softball season is approximately 10-12 weeks, with additional games for District and State Tournaments. Our goal is to get our AA, Minors and Majors Divisions with practice and games through June and July, with an end date of the first weekend in August. For our T Ball group, we would anticipate ending at that same time, but only have 4 weeks of practices with two practices per week.

At your first practice, there will be a waiver for the parents of players to review and sign. This waiver can be reviewed here:

We are also asking if you have had any COVID-19 related symptoms based upon the CDC with in the last 14 days that the player not participate until the player is symptom free for 14 days:

Thank You and Hope All are Healthy and Well
